Rev. Andre Contino is an associate member of the Oklahoma Conference of The United Methodist Church. He currently serves as senior pastor at First United Methodist Church of Muskogee, OK. He also serves as a member of the Oklahoma Annual Conference Council, including the Heartland District Missional Strategy Team, and he is an active member of the General Commission on Religion & Race.

He served the Methodist Church of Brazil for five years in various roles, including church planting, pastoral ministry and theological training for lay leaders. Rev. Contino also served as a missionary for over three years, mostly in South America, where he planted two congregations, one Portuguese speaking and another Spanish-speaking church.  He was a member of the National Plan for Hispanic Latino Ministries from 2009 until 2011, and chair of Hispanic/Latino Ministries in the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference for four years.

Rev. Contino holds a BA Science in Theology degree from Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque Iowa, a Master Divinity Degree from Seminario Teologico Siloe, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He holds a BA in Administration and Business from Paulista University

(UNIP) in Sao Paulo, Brazil; and advanced studies in Total Quality Management and Customer Relationship Management from University of Westminster – Business School in London, United Kingdom.

An effective communicator of God’s Word, Andre is known for his “practical grace” approach and dynamic teaching style. His leadership is passionate for decisive action in order to restore the spiritual, social, political and economic role of the Church. 

He and his wife, Raquel, have been married since 1998. They are the proud parents of two daughters who work alongside them in ministry, Moriah and Izabella.
